Supporters of the NDC have besieged the Electoral Commission demanding the declaration of Ablekuma North Constituency NDC Parliamentary candidate Ewurabena Aubynn as winner.
Speaking to Happy Kasiɛbɔ, some of the supporters claimed that per the provisional results they have, their candidate should be declared winner.
On December 8, 2024, the NDC Ablekuma North constituency organiser, Musah Kalamu addressed the media saying Ewurabena was leading with a little over 500 votes.
The NPP on the other hand indicated that per their examination of collated results from their agents, their Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie has won the Parliamentary seat with a margin of 411 votes in her favor.
Meanwhile the Electoral Commission has ordered a hold on the collation results from the Ablekuma North Constituency.
So far, it is left with 61 polling station out of 281.
MP elect for Ningo Pampram Sam Nartey George has criticized the order by the Electoral Commission saying, the EC has no jurisdiction in the matter.
