The National Democratic Congress Security Taskforce has invaded the Metro mass Transit depot in Cape Coast preventing its authorities from selling old buses to scrap dealers.
According to reports, the scrap dealers had been directed by Management to dismantle abandoned buses.
Ronald Acquah who is a member of the security task force explained that their action is to prevent management of Metro mass Transit from selling state properties to scrap dealers unlawfully.
He revealed that, management of Metro mass Transit in Cape Coast were selling each bus for GHC 1000 .
“Our actions have been able to prevent 10 buses from being sold to the scrap dealers”, he said.
The leader for the NDC security task force in Cape Coast, Salifu Issaka added that the team had been to several state offices to prevent the outgoing government from looting state properties.
