The Member of Parliament-elect for Dormaa Central, John Adu Jack, has called on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to minimize their celebrations following the party’s victory in the 2024 general elections.
He emphasized that it is Ghana’s democracy that has triumphed, and not any individual, urging restraint to maintain peace and unity within the constituency.
He advised against excessive jubilation that could escalate into provocation or insults, which might create unnecessary tension and enmity among residents. He stressed the importance of celebrating in a manner that fosters harmony and respects the views of others, regardless of political affiliations.
He acknowledged the remarkable efforts of the NDC team, noting that while they were confident of winning, the overwhelming margin came as a surprise. He attributed the success to the party’s unity and the effective leadership of its executives, which ensured a coordinated and focused campaign.
