The Majority leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo Markin has accused the Leadership of the NDC of being responsible for the mayhem and confusion caused by supporters of the party.

According to him, the country has never witnessed a situation where the police and the military at polling and collation centers are left helpless like they were during this year’s election because the NDC had rehearsed what it wanted to do in case they lost the election.

“The NDC has won the election and still wants to unleash mayhem on innocent Ghanaians.”

Addressing the media at the New Patriotic Party headquarters today Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Afenyo Markin stated category that John Dramani Mahama, the President elect, Fifi Kwetey, General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chairman of the NDC are responsible for the actions of their supporters.

“It is not enough for John Dramani Mahama to tell his people that what they are doing is illegal or criminal. He ordered them. They take decisions at their party headquarters and he knows about it. The leadership of the party should know that they are responsible for all the actions of their foot soldiers”.

Afenyo Markin further revealed that some executives of the NPP have received threats from the NDC through phone calls.

The majority leader sounded a word of caution to the NDC that the same men they have sent to cause mayhem on the streets will surely turn back on them in the near future.

“I have one message for the NDC, I’m not a prophet neither a seer, I am an ordinary Ghanaian with my naked eyes and I tell them this, tomorrow these young men that you are arming to attack NPP will turn on you, NDC should take this from me. I give you maximum of one year, the guns and machetes you bought for them, they will chase you with the same weapons because you would not be able to satisfy them in terms of payment, it is going to happen”.
