Outgoing General Secretary of the largest opposition NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah says the credit obtained in his 17 years of service as the party’s General Scribe is attributed to the footsoldiers of the NDC.
He made the remarks in an address at the party’s ongoing 10th Delegates Congress being held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In an address to end his service as the General Secretary of the NDC, he said: “let me say a word of farewell to you as I step down today as your general secretary having served in that position for the past 17 years
“I thank you for your cooperation and thank everybody.”
“Those I’ve offended may the Lord touch your heart to forgive me,” he noted.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah popularly known as General Mosquito has bowed out as the NDC’s General Secretary after serving in that position for almost two decades.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah is in high spirits to take control of the largest opposition NDC as National Chairman ahead of the 2024 general election.
He’s seeking to topple the incumbent Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo in a high-stakes election that also has former Member of Parliament, Nii Armah Ashiety, and Samuel Yaw Adusei in that slot.
