Director of Interparty and Civil Society Relations for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of plagiarism.
In a Facebook post on August 19, 2024, Dr. Boamah Otokunor claimed that a plagiarism check of the NPP’s manifesto revealed that 62% of the content was generated by artificial intelligence (AI).
Additionally, he revealed that 16% of the manifesto was copied from the NDC’s 2020 manifesto, 12% from the NDC’s 2024 youth manifesto, leaving only 10% of the content as original.
The NPP officially launched its manifesto for the 2024 elections on August 18, 2024, in Takoradi. The document outlines various policies and plans the party intends to implement if elected on December 7.
