NC wants to destroy our National teams with their political appointments – Kojo Yankah

Former Executive Committee member of the GFA, Kojo Yankah, says the Normalisation Committee (NC) of the Ghana Football Association are on the verge of destroying the Black Stars -just like they destroyed local football in the country- with the appointment of Dr. K.K. Sarpong’s led Black Stars management committee for the 2019 AFCON

The Normalization Committee has appointed a five-member management committee to manage the affairs of the team ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Egypt later this year

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC),Dr. K.K. Sarpong will head the five-member management team and will be deputize by Perry Curtis Kwabla Okudzeto, Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports.

Other three members of the committee include; former Ghanaian international,Ibrahim Sunday; Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, and Abena Osei Asare, Deputy Minister of Finance.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM‘s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’,the controversial former management member of the Black Stars holds that the committee members have zero knowledge in football hence they are not competent enough for the job.

“The Normalization committee has destroyed our local football and they want to destroy Black Stars too with this kind of committee.”

“You can’t be a management member when you don’t know the players. Players have different attitudes and characters so it’s not everyone who can manage them. How many of these members know the Black Stars players?”
he quizzed.

“Dr Kofi Amoah has been silent by Hon Isaac Asiamah. The minister made all these appointments. Dr Kofi Amoah didn’t appoint these people,it’s political. These people can’t do the job even with Dr. K.K. Sarpong, because he alone can’t do the job. These members can’t advice Kwesi Appiah,” he added.
