The announcement was made during a live feed on Mr. Bediako’s official X (formerly Twitter) page, where he expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership.

“I am pleased to announce that I’ll be embarking on this remarkable journey for the presidency with Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriesie as my running mate—the right choice!” Mr. Bediako wrote, expressing optimism about their potential to bring positive change to Ghana.

Dr. Kriesie, speaking during her unveiling on Friday night, stated: “We believe in a government that works for everyone, not just a privileged few. We support policies that create jobs, reduce poverty, and provide opportunities for every Ghanaian to succeed, no matter where they come from or who they know.”

Dr. Kriesie served as a Senior Manager at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing investments, licensing capital market operators, and developing key regulations that strengthened the integrity and growth of Ghana’s capital markets.

In addition to her regulatory experience, she has also been an academic, lecturing at the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies Accra, where she conducted groundbreaking research in Financial and Development Economics.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriesie is a passionate advocate for women’s rights and empowerment, further enhancing her appeal as a forward-thinking candidate.
