Nana Poku Kwarteng, father of the late Ebony Reigns, has revealed that the decision to put out the list of artistes who performed at the ‘Ebony tribute concert’ which took place a year ago was not to tarnish the image of her daughter’s former manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang popularly known as Bullet.
According to Mr Kwarteng, who is popularly known as ‘Starboy Kwarteng’, he was surprised when Bullet started calling him greedy.
In an interview with DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive’ show Starboy Kwarteng said, “I didn’t intentionally bring out the list. I went for an interview and they asked me about the profit I made from the Ebony Tribute Concert. I told them I received GHS 2,000 but they were shocked so I decided to show them the list Bullet and a guy he said was his direct assistant gave me. I was shocked when Bullet came out to say I was being greedy.”
“I believe by now people believe I am not greedy. He gave me that list and I kept it. I spoke with some of the artistes that he mentioned on the list and they said they never took a dime. I thought the list was true. Before Nana Hemaa died, I had already built my house and achieved a lot. I have a bond with Nana Hemaa. In our family, we all like ourselves and my daughter was just like me,” he added.
Starboy Kwarteng is currently promoting a new single from the late Ebony dubbed ‘ Be your driver’.
