Mothers enjoy great fun with My Eye Center and Happy FM

Ghana’s broadcasting Giant, Happy98.9FM partnered with My Eye Center to celebrate mothers ahead of Mother’s Day with the Eyes On Mama activation.

The event held at the East Legon Branch of My Eye Center on Friday May 10, 2024, brought together mothers and potential mothers who were treated to various activities and gift items.

The mothers had their eyes checked and free reading glasses were given to those who needed them. The mothers also engaged in fun activities such as dancing competition, musical chairs among others. They had the opportunity to share snippets from their life experiences and the tiring role as caregivers.

The initiative which was aimed at recognizing and appreciating the hard work and sacrifices of mothers, saw three mothers receive amazing prizes from My Eyes Center. Comfort Goka was the lucky mother to enjoy a one night stay with her partner at Brown Hills Residence Hotel in Peduase. Vida Apenteng also won a coupon to enjoy an exotic Swedish Massage at the Rabito Cosmetic Center while Angel Nana Akua got a complete facial and hair makeover with photoshoot.

HappyFM’s partnership with My Eye Center is part of commitment to promoting the health and well-being of mothers. It is also a reminder of the important role that mothers play in shaping the future of our communities and nations.

Chief Executive Officer for My Eye Center, Dr. Chinenye Adisa expressed gratitude to all mothers who took time to participate in the event, and used the opportunity to encourage mothers to give themselves the necessary treat their bodies deserve irrespective of their financial status.

“I am encouraging all mothers to try and pamper themselves whether they have the means or not. This is because they are mostly focused on taking care of the kids and other family members, without having time for themselves. They should take that time out, pamper themselves, chill and have fun,” she reiterated.

Programs Manager for HappyFM, Kwabena Ampong, expressed his excitement about the partnership and reiterated the station’s commitment to supporting initiatives promoting the well-being of women.

“We are excited to be a part of this great initiative. The move to care for mothers is one important decision ever taken in the world. Most of these women hardly go for checkups, therefore, events like this are the biggest chance for updates on their health status. This partnership between HappyFM and My Eye Center is evident that the two companies are on the same wave length.”
