Mustapha Ussif sworn into office as new Sports Minister

The Minister for Youth and Sports designate Mustapha Ussif has been sworn into office by President Nana Akufo-Addo at a ceremony held on Friday at the Jubilee House.

The former National Service Secretariat boss replaces Isaac Asiamah who served as the Sports Minister in President Akufo-Addo’s first term in office.

During his vetting by the Parliament Appointment Committee, Mustapha Ussif touched on some relevant issues concerning the Ministry such as the Australia Visa scandal, winning bonus of national teams, the Sports budget and others which will be key during his tenure as Sports Minister.

Mustapha Ussif made a major impact during his time with at the National Service Secretariat and is expected to bring that expertise at the Ministry.
