Ghanaian rap artiste and song-writer, Okete Boamah David, known musically as Okete, has taken to air to explain why he has released some diss songs.
In an interview with Foster Romanus on eTV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, he expressed that rappers like to put their thoughts in their music and rap is the only tool they can use to express themselves.
‘’Music goes far. If you go to the studio, record a song and put it online, it can go far unlike going to stand somewhere to say it. Nobody will hear it’’, he said.
He added that even though there are other means of making people aware that they have stepped on one’s toe, he preferred to do it through music so it serves as a deterrent to other people.
Okete recently released visuals for his song dubbed ‘Date’, and is currently focused on promoting it.
