Music has no barrier - King Ayisoba

Ghanaian traditional musician known for his unique style of music alongside the Kologo  King Ayisoba says to him, music has no barrier but it is the feeling that matters.

According to him, music is made and felt and language can in no way prevent him from either doing or enjoying music.

Speaking to DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s Ayekoo Drive he said:
“Music has no barrier to me. It is all about the feeling and tonation. I don’t understand music from Mali or South Africa but we still enjoy them.”

To prove this assertion, he disclosed having a song titled ‘mm33’ which was a major hit abroad. “The whites didn’t understand the song but they really enjoyed that song. Mm33 was a hit song abroad than even I want to see you my father in Ghana.”

He further disclosed that, understanding someone’s language sometimes makes it difficult to appreciate their music. But you can highly appreciate music when you don’t understand it.

This proves that truly words have no meaning but meanings are in people.

Music is received and interpreted by the feelings aroused from hearing. It is not necessarily the meaning.
