Former Minority Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak and a group of individuals thought to be NDC officials in the Asawase Constituency are due to argue their case before a high court.
In a media report, the defendants claimed that the MP had abused his position and engaged in corrupt behaviour, including, giving himself access to 15 stores in the Asawase market.
The lawmaker said in his statement of claim that the defendants’ actions have damaged his hard-earned image, and he is pleading with the court to force them to pay GH$10 million in damages.
Also, Mr. Mubarak is calling for an unconditional apology and retractions from the accused.
