Muniru Limuna former Agric Minister, nominated as chief in Damongo

Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, a former Minister of Food and Agriculture under the John Mahama administration, has been nominated by Damongowura Seidu Kelly Boresa to serve as the Sandapewura of the Damongo Traditional Area.

The Sandapewura holds the position of Chief of Staff within the Damongo Paramountcy. Alhaji Limuna, also the Founder and Chairman of Kasha 99.5 FM based in Damongo, was nominated in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the socioeconomic advancement of the traditional area and beyond.

The enskinment is expected to be held after the Holy month of Ramadan in Damongo, the traditional capital of Gonja and the Savannah Region.

He will thereafter act as the second-in-command in the council of elders of the Damongo Traditional Council.

Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna was born on August 8, 1967, in Damongo Langbonto and is the great-grandson of Damongo Wura Dange.

A high delegation within and outside Ghana is expected to grace the enskinment ceremony, ranging from politicians, businessmen, philanthropists, and distinguished well-wishers.
