Mobile Money Advocacy Group Ghana (MoMAG) has appealed to the Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson to eliminate E-Levy.
According to them, the statement of the Finance Minister during his vetting to address the challenges facing the mobile money industry is commendable.
In an interview with Happy kasiɛbɔ, the National Secretary of MoMAG, Amoako Atta said that the group noted with optimism that his promise will help to eliminate the Electronic Transfer Levy which has significantly impacted their business operations.
“We hope that Hon. Ato Forson will prioritize the elimination of the E-Levy and work tirelessly to create a conducive environment for the growth and development of the Mobile financial services in Ghana. We look forward to engage him and his ministry at any level to support the removal of the E-Levy and promote the interest of our members, he added.
The group also congratulated Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson on his appointment as Minister of Finance on behalf of and assured him of their support.
