President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been accused by the Minority in Parliament of disregarding them and due process with respect to the Pokuase affordable housing project.
According to them, the president did not receive approval from parliament before starting construction on the 14,000 housing units in partnership with the private sector.
Minority Spokesperson for Works and Housing, Vincent Oppong Asamoah raised concern over unanswered questions about the project.
He asked why the government is starting new projects instead of completing existing ones started by previous governments.
He fears that the project may face the same fate as previous ones hence, the Minority boycotting the sod-cutting ceremony.
