Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns against forged documents for Visa Applications

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has issued a strict warning against submitting forged or falsified documents for visa authentication.

In a statement released on October 14, 2024, the Ministry emphasized that these actions are punishable by law.

“The presentation of forged or fake documents is punishable under sections 158, 159, 166, 169 of the Criminal and Offences Act 1961 (Act 29)” parts of the statement read.

The Ministry stressed that anyone caught submitting forged documents will be turned over to the police for prosecution. It urged the public to take note and comply by ensuring all documents submitted for visa applications are genuine and accurate.
