Meet the three Ghanaian coaching staff set to assist Kwesi Appiah in Sudan

Kwesi Appiah

Former Ghanaian national team head coach, James Kwesi Appiah, is poised to take on the role of head coach for the Sudan national men’s team, thanks to the agreement reached with Otumfour Osei Tutu II. As he prepares for this significant coaching position, Appiah has begun assembling his technical team, with one assistant coach already chosen.

Currently serving as a member of the Asante Kotoko interim management committee for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Kwesi Appiah has been making strides in his career. He secured a position on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association after winning elections at the Elective Congress held in Tamale on October 6th.

While there has been a tentative agreement for Appiah to take the Sudan coaching job, an official contract has yet to be signed.

However, HappySports sources indicate that if Appiah finalizes the deal and takes on the national team coaching role, one of his assistant coaches will be Ignatius Osei-Fosu. Osei-Fosu, who has previously managed teams like Techiman Eleven Wonders, Dreams FC, and Medeama will work alongside the Ghanaian trainer who successfully led Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
