Head coach of Medeama SC Samuel Boadu has fired a warning shot to Asante Kotoko over reports that they have registered their interest in star midfielder, Akwasi Donsu.
Reports emerged in the media on Monday that the Porcupine Warriors are eyeing a move for Medeama SC’s free-kick expert Akwasi Donsu as they bid to bolster their squad ahead of resumption of football league in the country.
However, the reports has not gone down well with the Mauves gaffer, who categorically stated that the Kumasi-based outfit does not have the financial means to purchase their player, let alone their prized asset like Donsu.
“Kotoko can’t buy any player from Medeama. They can’t buy any player of Moses Parker,” Coach Boadu told Oyerepa FM.
“Kotoko should check the price tag of our players and they won’t even dare come close.”
“Gone are the days they bought our players but not now. They should forget about Kwasi Donsu whom I’m hearing they are interested in.”
“They can’t buy him nor any other player.”
Meanwhile, according to the Accra representative of Asante Kotoko, Edmund Ackah, the executive chairman of the club Dr. Kwame Kyei, has given the club billions of cedis for player recruitment.
