Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC has officially announced Ibrahim Tanko as the club’s new head coach.
The former Accra Lions manager now joins the Mauve and Yellows on a two-year contract replacing Augustine Evans Adotey.
Coach Evans Adotey according to Medeama SC will now revert to his previous role as the technical director of the club while Ibrahim Tanko takes charge of the day to day football activities of the first team.
“Medeama Sporting Club is pleased to confirm the appointment of Coach Ibrahim Tanko on a two-and-half-year contract,” part of the club’s statement read.
He will watch the team’s training session on Wednesday January 29, 2025, at the Akoon Community Park before he takes full charge on Thursday.
Tanko will face off Legon Cities in his first match for the club on Sunday February 3, 2025, at the TnA Stadium.
