Veteran Sports Broadcaster, Mohammed Amin Lamptey, in an interview on Happy FM, says it is wrong for Manhyia to have written a letter on behalf of Asante Kotoko to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) without the consent of the Executive Director, Dr. Kwame Kyei.
Manhyia had written a letter to the GFA requesting for more time to constitute a Board.
Kotoko were directed by the Club Licensing Board to constitute a Board for the club per the regulations or face demotion from the Ghana Premier League and also a fine of Ghc 20,000.
“What Manhyia has done is wrong. Someone might have misinformed the Palace on going behind the Executive Director to write the letter to the GFA”, Amin-Lamptey told Happy FM.
“This shows that they don’t trust him and he should resign from his position. It clearly shows there is mistrust and something is wrong with leadership”.
He added that the GFA should not deal with Manhyia but rather with the management of Asante Kotoko which is the professional way to go.
“The GFA should not deal with Manhyia but rather with the management of the team.
“It is not professional for the GFA to act on any letter from Manhyia.
Manhyia and Dr. Kwame Kyei should have been working hand in hand and not the other way round”, he ended.
