Some entertainment enthusiasts who called for the termination of the ambassadorial contract of dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah popularly known as Shatta Wale with Storm Energy drink may be disappointed since the management of Kasapreko Company Limited are impressed with the positive effect the musician has had on the brand.
The controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is reported to have posted a pornographic video on Snapchat where a young lady is seen performing oral sex on him and his friend.
Shatta Wale minutes later took down the video but it was too late because it had gone viral and the harm had already been done.
Many entertainment enthusiasts and loyal Shatta Movement (SM) fans condemned the act by the artiste. Many went as far as calling for the termination of his contracts with brands he had been made ambassadors of.
Contrary to their wishes, reports indicates that, management of the award winning manufacturers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will not terminate the ambassadorial contracts with Shatta Wale according to Chris Addo-Sarkodie.
At the unveiling of Actress Nana Ama McBrown as Kasapreko’s new brand ambassador for its Royal Drinks, Addo-Sarkodie disclosed how the dancehall artiste brand has positively affected the the market sales of the Storm Energy drink he was made a brand ambassador of the product.
Mrs. Eunice Adjei Bonsu , the Director of Sales and Marketing for Awake Mineral Water and Carbonated Soft Drinks at Kasapreko Company Limited in response to whether or not the management is considering revoking the ambassadorial deal with the Zylofon signee said “No comment about Shatta Wale, storm energy deal.”
The Energy Drink of the Year Award was presented to the distributors of the product by the management of Kasapreko Company Limited at a ceremony in Accra on Thursday June 5.
Introduced into the market two years ago, Storm Energy drink was adjudged the Best Energy Drink in Ghana at the 2018 Ghana Beverage Awards.
The Ghana Beverage Awards instituted last year, is aimed at honouring best performing indigenous and foreign beverage companies in Ghana for their contributions to the country’s economy.
