Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga has urged fellow lawmakers to exercise caution when filing questions related to constituencies other than their own.
According to him, failing to do so may undermine the authority of the Member of Parliament representing that constituency
Mr. Ayariga’s warning came after Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markin filed a question regarding water shortages in other constituencies, directing it to the Minister of Works and Housing.
Mr. Ayariga emphasized that MPs should consult with the representative of the constituency in question before filing such queries, to ensure they are aware of the issue at hand.
In essence, he is advocating for a more collaborative and respectful approach to addressing constituency-specific concerns in Parliament.
