Mahama’s approach to fighting corruption is superb –Kofi Adams

Even though the policy think tank, Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) has expressed concerns about the country’s approach towards the fight against corruption in the country;  the National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has given a thumb up for the approach the ex-president John Dramani Mahama used in the fight against corruption during his reign.
According to him, the approach the ex-president used by letting the institutions  for fighting the canker to work was the best in the country.
This approach was the best in the fight against corruption during the era of NDC led by John Mahama.
He said what is happening under the watch of the current president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is nauseating.
He said the president seems to have lost the fight  against corruption and his appointees have having a field day.
He said the scenario where institutions which are mandated to investigate corruption have turned themselves into clearing the culprits involved in the corrupt act than investigating them.
The main opposition National Organizer made this comment when he interacted with Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on the ‘Epao Hao Daben’ show on Accra-based Happy FM.
He cited what the Economic and Organized Crime Office and the Bureau of National Investigations(BNI) did with the contaminated fuel saga at Bulk Oil Storage and Transport (BOST).
He said corruption under the current president is worrying, no wonder the likes of CDD and the former Commissioner of Commission on Human Rights and Administration (CHRAJ) Emile Short are expressing despair.
According to him, ex-president John Dramani Mahama’s approach was far better than what the NPP led by Nana Addo is doing in the fight against corruption.
He said the NPP has a weak approach towards  the fight against corruption and the canker will continue strife under his government.
