The campaign team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, has announced a lineup of key events for the week as he ramps up preparations for the 2024 elections.
According to the team, these activities underscore Mahama’s commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and faith-based principles.
The week kicks off with the launch of the NDC Women’s Manifesto in Kumasi on Monday, September 30, 2024.
The event, scheduled to take place at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the Ashanti Region, will be led by Mr. John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.
The manifesto aims to empower women and promote gender inclusivity in governance, reaffirming Mahama’s commitment to increasing women’s representation in leadership roles.
Following the manifesto launch, Mr. Mahama will meet with Christian leaders in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as part of his #MahamaConversations series.
The meeting will center on shared national values and the role of faith in promoting development.
During the discussion, Mahama is expected to reaffirm his pledge to introduce a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, aimed at fostering interfaith unity and spiritual growth for the nation’s advancement.
To conclude the week, Mahama will embark on a four-day campaign tour across the North East and Savanna Regions, starting on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The tour is designed to engage directly with Ghanaians, particularly in rural areas, addressing critical economic concerns and the issue of rising living costs.
