Mahama pledges to rebuild Hajj Village if NDC wins 2024 elections

Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has pledged to rebuild the Hajj Village and reduce Hajj fares if the NDC wins the 2024 elections.

He stressed the need to make the Hajj pilgrimage more affordable and accessible for Ghanaian Muslims.

Highlighting the NDC government’s achievements in improving the Hajj experience, Mahama noted the relocation of the Hajj Village to its current site near Kotoka International Airport.

“We will discuss with the Hajj committee and work towards reducing the cost of Hajj to make it more affordable and comfortable for Ghanaian Muslims”he said.

However, he expressed disappointment over claims that the current NPP government has allegedly sold the land where the Hajj Village is located.

The former president assured the Muslim community of his commitment to their welfare, vowing to reconstruct the Hajj Village with permanent infrastructure.
