The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has emphasized his commitment to addressing corruption directly in his next administration.

Mr. Mahama has promised to investigate and prosecute corrupt officials, utilizing both local and foreign expertise to achieve effective outcomes.

His anti-corruption plan includes new legislation that would prevent political appointees from acquiring state assets, reinforcing transparency and accountability.

Mahama also plans to create a state assets registrar to streamline the handling of corruption cases.

He reiterated his dedication to eliminating corruption, with “Operation Recover All the Loot” as a core initiative. This strategy will investigate and prosecute those involved in corrupt activities, combining local and international resources to ensure success.

Supporting this effort, he said legislation will be introduced to restrict political appointees, politically exposed persons, and public officials from purchasing state assets. Mahama aims to address the issue of state capture through the establishment of a state asset registrar.
