Former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Kale Cezario has made a passionate pledge that an NDC administration will prioritize investments in the agricultural sector, recognizing its potential to drive economic growth and development. He lamented that Ghana’s abundant fertile lands, which could be the backbone of the country’s economy, remain woefully underutilized due to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s poor policies and lack of vision.

Cezario highlighted the dire challenges faced by farmers, including inadequate financial support, limited access to markets, and a severe shortage of equipment and resources needed to cultivate crops on a large scale. He emphasized that these challenges have pushed farmers to the brink of crisis, undermining their ability to contribute meaningfully to the country’s economy.

To address these systemic challenges, Cezario announced that the NDC administration will establish Farmers Centres in every district, equipped with the necessary machinery, resources, and expertise. These centres will serve as one-stop shops for farmers, providing them with easy access to the equipment, training, and support they need to boost agricultural production and productivity.

By empowering farmers and transforming the agricultural sector, Cezario emphasized that the NDC government aims to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and ensure food security for all Ghanaians.
