Majority in Parliament apologizes to Ken Ofori-Atta after military and police raid

Mahama Ayariga, Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has been appointed as the Majority Leader of Ghana’s 9th Parliament, succeeding Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson following his nomination as Minister of Finance-designate.

According to sources, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, who was initially appointed Majority Leader following the NDC’s electoral victory is preparing to take on his new role as Minister of Finance.

Mahama Ayariga, is seen as an experienced lawmaker who is known for his strong debating skills and strategic approach to legislation.

Having served multiple terms as an MP, he has held significant positions in government, including Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, as well as Minister of Information.
