Mahama achieved more in 4 years than Akufo-Addo in 8 years- Afram Plains South MP

The Member of Parliament for Afram Plains South, Joseph Appiah Boateng, has lauded former President John Dramani Mahama’s contributions to the constituency, asserting that his achievements within four years surpass what President Akufo-Addo’s administration has accomplished in eight years.

Speaking during Mr. Mahama’s visit to Maame Krobo on Thursday, November 21, the MP detailed many development projects undertaken during the NDC administration. He noted that electrification efforts under Mahama’s tenure brought power to several areas within the constituency, making it more attractive for land acquisition and development.

Mr. Appiah Boateng detailed several infrastructural advancements, including the construction of three schools and a borehole at Maame Krobo, along with numerous other educational facilities across the region. He also mentioned the establishment of CHPS compounds to improve healthcare delivery and the construction of the district assembly office during his time in collaboration with the NDC government.

He pointed to the provision of critical equipment such as a grader, tipper truck, and wheel loader from Germany, which were used to shape roads in the constituency. However, he alleged that the ruling NPP government misused and neglected these machines, leaving them inoperative. He accused the NPP of deliberately failing to maintain the equipment to prevent the NDC from gaining political credit.

The MP expressed optimism about the NDC’s return to power, stating that with Mr. Mahama at the helm, there would be renewed efforts to recover and restore the constituency’s development tools and initiatives.
