Women’s Premier League title sponsor, Malta Guinness has concluded their one day capacity training for female footballers in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association.
Under the theme Life Beyond Football, two players were randomly selected from the 20 Women’s Premier League teams to participate in the capacity building program organized on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited in Accra.
The speakers led by former Black Queen coach and player, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, Head of Public Relations and strategy at the GFA, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe took the participants through ways they can build a career for themselves outside the football field.
Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe urged the players to take their personal branding seriously while conducting themselves in ways that will reflect positively on the league in general.
Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo also urged them to follow her example of properly planning for life after football in order to ensure a stable future for themselves because the lifespan of a footballer is short.
Abena Chrappah, the senior Brand Manager for Spirit Branch also took them through a practical exercise to help the ladies explore other career options using their unique individual character traits.
