President John Dramani Mahama has called for the inclusion of Family Values Bill as part of Ghana’s education curriculum. This he believes will instill values in children while growing up.
According to President Mahama, if Family Values are taught in schools, there would be no need to pass a Bill to enforce Family Values.
Speaking during a meeting with the clergy on Tuesday January 14, 2025, President Mahama emphasized the importance of widespread discussions with all stakeholders on the Bill.
“if we were teaching our values in school, we won’t need to pass a bill to enforce our Family Values.”
“I think more than the Family Value Bills, is us agreeing on a curriculum that inculcates these values into our children as they are growing up, so that we don’t need to legislate it”.
