Lawyers request information on arrested Democracy Hub protesters

A group of legal professionals, known as Lawyers for Protest Defence, has requested details regarding protesters arrested on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

In a statement released on Monday, September 23, the group expressed its commitment to providing legal advice and representation to protesters as part of their professional service.

The group has requested the Ghana Police Service to furnish them with key details, including a list of those arrested or detained, the specific police stations or detention facilities where they are being held, the courts where they will be arraigned, as well as the dates and times of their court appearances.

They have also offered their assistance to the police if needed.

The Ghana Police Service has so far confirmed the arrest of approximately 42 protesters associated with the Democracy Hub group.
