The Ministry of Health has confirmed that, the construction project ongoing at the La General Hospital has not halted.
According to the ministry, significant progress has been made, with various stages of construction expedited to ensure timely completion.
The Ministry indicates in a press statement that, the contractor overseeing the project has recently submitted a certificate for payment as part of standard operation procedures.
This certificate, according to the Ministry of Health, is currently being processed, as it forms part of the procedural standard across all government-funded projects, to ensure transparency and compliance with financial protocols.
“This in no way indicates a halt of the project; rather, it is a necessary step to guarantee the continuity of work”.
