Kwakye Ackah forged signatures in the NDC primaries – Mustapha Gbande claims

Adutwum would have been a better running mate for Dr. Bawumia than NAPO – NDC's Mustapha Gbande

The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has alleged that Amenfi Central MP Peter Kwakye Ackah forged signatures during the party’s primaries.

This claim comes after Ackah revealed plans to run as an independent candidate in the December 7 general elections, following the Speaker of Parliament’s decision to declare his seat vacant.

Speaking in an interview on an Accra based radio station he said, “During the nomination process, the MP made several errors and was asked to correct them. Later, we discovered that he had forged signatures once again”.

“When we confronted him, he demanded that his opponent be declared unopposed, only to challenge her later. Despite this, we showed leniency and did not expel him from the party”.

The Deputy General Secretary emphasized that the NDC will neither support nor welcome Ackah back into the party, even if he wins the seat in future elections.

“Peter Kwakye Ackah will never be accepted back into the NDC, regardless of election results. His return would only be possible in our absence, and the party will provide him with no support,” Mustapha added.
