Ghana and Inter Milan star Kwadwo Asamoah has joined the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in the country by donating $20,000 to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
The presentation was done on his behalf by his father to management of the hospital on Tuesday.
Asamoah has been in lockdown in Italy for several weeks due to the pandemic which has affected the European country immensely.
He joins some of the country’s biggest names who continue to rally round in the fight against coronavirus.
Other players including Asamoah Gyan, Samuel Owusu Dede Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Majeed Waris have also contributed their quota towards the fight against the deadly virus.
Ghana has recorded 636 cases of Covid-19, with eight dead cases and 17 recoveries.
