Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey apologizes on behalf of Patrick Allotey

Asante Kotoko defender, Christopher Nettey has apologized to the public on behalf of boxer Patrick Allotey.

The boxer assaulted a Kotoko fan during the Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in a Ghana Premier League game.

Allotey, after the incident revealed that he went to the stadium to support his friend Christopher Nettey who played in that game for the Porcupine Warriors.

The Kotoko left-back in an interview on Happy FM confirmed that Allotey came to the stadium to support him and apologized on behalf of his friend.

“It is because of me that Patrick Allotey came to the stadium to watch the game”.

“I will apologise to anybody who was affected in this incident”.

Allotey was arraigned before court on Monday where he made his first appearance and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He was granted a bail of GHC 100,000 with three sureties and his passport has been seized.
