Kotoko CEO George Amoako to be sacked after Ghana FA elections

Asante Kotoko General Manager, George Amoako is set to be relieved of his post after the Ghana Football Association elections, Happyghana.com understands.

George Amoako who is contesting for a position on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has been stripped off the right to vote on behalf of the Porcupine Warriors.

According to our source, the decision to strip him off the right to vote is as a result of mistrust between him (George Amoako) and the Executive Director of the club Dr Kwame Kyei and some management members.

Dr Kwame Kyei is believed to be incensed after reports emerged that Mr Amoako has been allegedly flirting with a candidate not supported by the club – a claim which cannot be independently verified yet.

Kotoko have publicly declared their support for Ghana FA presidential candidate George Afriyie whilst it is said that George Amoako prefers another candidate leading to him been stripped off the right to vote.

He has been replaced by Isaac Donkor as two of the delegates to vote on behalf of the club in the upcoming election which begins today.

This decision could hamper George’s ambition on going on to the Executive Council as the delegates appointed by the club could vote for other candidates of their preference.

George Amoako’s interest which currently conflicts with that of the club in the elections will lead to his sack or him resigning from his position.
