Founder and President of the Atta-Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, claims former President Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) intentionally refused to give the resting place of the late President Atta Mills a befitting facelift although he had all the time and resources to do so.

“John Mahama refused to build the Asomdwee Park when President Mills died. He deliberately refused to build the park. Go and ask him why he didn’t build the park in his 4 and half years in power. Mahama was the sole beneficiary of the death of President Mills but he refused to build the Asomdwee Park,” he said.

Koku Anyidoho who was a member of the funeral planning committee of the late President Mills revealed the Asomdwee Park per the master plan should have been built into a proper memorial park by July 2013. “There was an NDC President called Mahama and he refused to do it and did he expect us to wait for him? The design for the park was ready during Mahama’s tenure but why did he refuse to build it? Certainly, the Atta Mills Institute wouldn’t be waiting for you.”

Explaining how the Atta Mills institute received the much-needed facelift, the pained Koku Anyidoho revealed, “We pleaded with President Akufo-Addo and he heard our plea. The Asomdwee Park is being built now and how can such a good thing be causing confusion now.”

President of the Atta-Mills Institute, emphatically stated President Akufo-Addo will commission the Asomdwee Park “whether Mahama likes it or not to the glory of God,” he submitted in an interview with Happy98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben.

President Akufo-Addo has assured Koku Anyidoho he will renovate the Asomdwee Park, which is currently the resting place of the late former President John Evans Atta Mills.

In a tweet, a relieved Mr. Anyidoho who seemed extremely happy by this promise by President Akufo-Addo shared a photo of the place after it is completed and wrote, “This is what Asomdwee Park will look like when President Akufo-Addo finishes construction and commissions it.

Atta-Mills Institute is growing from strength to strength in the name of the Lord.”
