CEO of Databank Group, Kojo Addae Mensah, has been named by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to replace legal practitioner and law lecturer Ace Ankomah (Esq.) on the committee tasked with evaluating and proposing the next head coach of the Black Stars.
Following the departure of Chris Hughton as the head coach of the Black Stars, the GFA has embarked on a strategic path for a fresh era. This involves a carefully outlined roadmap, and to spearhead the process, a 5-member search committee has been formed.
Vice President Mark Addo continues to lead the committee, now accompanied by Kojo Addae Mensah, Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah; Director of Coaching Education at the GFA, Opoku Nti; a Ghanaian football legend, and William Caesar Kartey; Chief Director of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The search committee has been granted a three-week timeline to present its recommendation for the next Black Stars coach to the Executive Council for approval.
As the application deadline approaches, Ghanaians eagerly await the announcement of the new Black Stars head coach, who will shoulder the responsibility of guiding the four-time AFCON champions to new heights.
Notable figures, including Herve Renard, coach of the France women’s team, and former Bayern Munich coach Felix Magath, have been suggested by the public as potential candidates.
