Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, Chief Executive Officer for Accra Digital centre, has declared his intention to vie for the Parliamentary seat of the Asante Akyem Central constituency in the Ashanti Region.

Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, Chief Executive Officer of the Accra Digital Centre, has called out his contender for the Asante Akyem Central constituency seat in the Ashanti Region, Kwame Anyimadu Antwi for what he describes as barbarian acts by the incumbent MP.
In a Facebook post, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah wrote, ‘’Kwame Animadu’s thugs attacking people in front of collation centre. MP who uses thugs. Kurasenii MP’’ the aspiring MP wrote. He also made another post where he complained bitterly about some three legally acquired proxy voters who were being prevented from voting.

‘’ Asante Akyem Central: 3 legally acquired proxies and 5 omissions the General Secretary has cleared still being prevented from voting. If these people are not allowed to vote. No election result will be accepted’’ Kofi Ofosu Nkansah’s Facebook post wrote.
There are three (3) aspiring candidates in the Asante Akyem Central constituency Mr. Ofosu Nkansah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Digital Centre, Nana Agyemang, a banker by profession and the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Kwame Anyimadu Antwi.

Delegates of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) are currently voting for their preferred Parliamentary candidates to represent their various constituencies on the ticket of the NPP in the December 7 polls.
A total of three hundred and seventy-four (374) aspirants are contesting in one hundred and sixty-eight (168) constituencies. Out of the number, three hundred and twenty-five (325) are men and fifty-one (51) women. Sixty-seven (67) of the aspirants are contesting unopposed and would be acclaimed by delegates of the party at the various constituencies.

Voting is currently ongoing around the country and is expected to end at 1 pm.
