CEO of Kent Investments, Richard Addison, and The Richard Addison Foundation, at a recent donation paid the hospital bills of some patients at the Takoradi Hospital and also donated 100 desks to some selected schools in the Western Region to address furniture deficits and assist the school follow the COVID 19 protocols.

“It gives me a lot of joy to see the smiles on these faces. As we continue to follow the COVID protocols and wait for the vaccine to reach everyone, we hope that each and everyone here return to contribute to the economy. It’s also our goal to support COVID-19 management efforts in the Western Region too, that’s why we donated over 100 school desks to schools in the Western Region.”

“We believe that interventions such as these provide direct support to our communities, helping to address immediate health and safety needs of the people, school staff and children.” Richard Addison stated.

The vast majority of schools in the region are faced with massive furniture deficits, compelling students to sit together during class sessions.

As a means of improving educational standard in the region and easing the burden on patients and the aged, the Richard Addison Foundation has introduced an educational fund to provide financial support to students and also supply schools in the catchment area with teaching and learning materials as it also continues to register the elderly onto the National Health Scheme.

According to Mr. Addison the donations are in response to the concerns raised when he embarked on tour to the hospitals and schools in the area to find the challenges they were facing.
