Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has described customers of embattled gold dealership firm, MenzGold as ‘greedy’ people.

According to the maverick politician, it was only persons who are greedy and want an over-whelming profit on their monies that invested with the firm.

“All those who invested in MenzGold are greedy people, how can you invest in financial institutions offering more than the rate normal banks will offer…?” Ken Agyapong quizzed on Adom TV on Tuesday as monitored by Happyghana.com

Customers of the embattled gold firm have been amassing at their offices daily to demand the payment of their deposits.

Some of the angry customers have been sleeping at the offices of Menzgold to demand their payments.

The company has argued that it has reached an agreement with its customers to scrap the payment of dividends to them.

The agreement is said to have been reached at a crunch meeting between Menzgold, customers and stakeholders on October 7, 2018 at Korkdam Hotel.

They have since that time given several dates for paying customers which has all failed.

One of their customers, who is a Pastor of the Presby Church has sued the gold firm to demand the payment of his dividends.

But Ken insist that the customers are also very greedy.
