Residents of Kasoa Papaase- Bawjiase are appealing to the Road and Highway Authority to construct speed ramps in their community to curb accidents.
Their concerns stem from reckless speeding by drivers on the newly constructed road, which has already resulted in an accident.
Just a few days ago, a student was struck by a car and is currently receiving treatment at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital.
The residents, worried about the safety of students and pedestrians, have urged the Minister for Roads and Highways to address the issue promptly.
Additionally, Nana Debrah, Ewe Chief in Papaase expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and Gizella Tetteh, Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Water Resources, for ensuring the completion of the Kasoa Bawjiase road project.
Nana Debrah echoed the community’s call for speed ramps, emphasizing their importance in safeguarding lives.
