Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has emerged as a shock target for the La Liga giants with talks underway over a loan move to the Nou Camp, according to Sky Italia.
According to reports in the Italian press indicate that the former AC Milan ace will join the Blaugrana on a paid loan with an option to buy set at €8 million. The 31-year-old will travel to Spain today to complete the move.
The reports further stated that general manager of Sassuolo Giovanni Carnevali will leave to Spain in the early afternoon to file the last details of the transfer.
Boateng has been impressive for the Neroverdi since joining in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 4 goals and registering 2 assists in 13 appearance.
The Ghanaian experience in La Liga is one of the key aspects of the transfer as the Catalan club are looking for a player who wouldn’t require much time for adaptation.
