Nana Yaw Amponsah, Chairman of Ghana Division One Club Phar Rangers FC and Ghana Football Association presidential hopeful has urged football stakeholders to vote for him as the next GFA president because he is well prepared to take over the leadership of the Association.
According to him, given the chance he will give the GFA a new image and a brand identity that the Association is yearning for since the Anas exposè hit Ghana football last year.
Having declared his ambition to contest the top position at the GFA since 2017, Nana Amponsah has unveiled his plans, which tackles and gives solutions to the GFA.
Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’,Mr Amponsah pleaded.
“You have nothing to lose by giving me the opportunity to transform Ghana football but you lose everything by going back to the same old system. Football people should open their eyes and football well because this is the time to make things right . Football is a game that we need to make money from not being broke.”
“Vote for me and let me lead you for just four years and I will change the game. They can remove me if I don’t perform after the four years. The rest have been there before and what have they done?.”- he quizzed.
“We don’t need a GFA president who wants only his club to win the league. We need someone with international connections, someone who will lift the game to a brand new level. I don’t promise clubs that I will call their players into the Black stars so they should vote for me but I can promise them that I will make sure the right players are called.”
