Former Ghana International John Paintsil, has announced that his request to be granted permission to coach Wa All Stars has been declined by the Club Licensing Board.
Paintsil is unable to sit on the technical bench of Wa All Stars as head coach because he does not hold a CAF License certificate which does not meet the requirements of the Club Licensing Board.
Happy Sports understands that John Paintsil holds a South Africa coaching License and is yet to begin his CAF coaching badges.
The Club Licensing Board has requested all clubs to ensure that only License A coaches heads the club in the upcoming season.
The former Fulham player had requested the the Club Licensing Board to allow him coach the team as he pursue his coaching badges.
In a post on his official twitter handle, Paintsil announced that his request as has been declined, “The Club Licensing Committee has rejected my application to coach in the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League while I pursue my CAF A coaching license. That not withstanding I hope to acquire the requisite qualification in due course to enable me coach in the GPL.
