Ghanaian actor and politician, John Setor Dumelo earlier today took a stroll backwards from the entrance of the University of Ghana to the entrance of Presbytarian Boys’ Secondary school (PRESEC) to fulfil a promise made on social media.
He made the promise in a bid to show how much confidence he had in his alma mater, Achimota Senior High School to win against Presbytarian Boys’ Secondary School and Opoku Ware Secondary School at the Grand finale of the National Science and Math Quiz.
Dumelo took to his X page on Sunday, October 22 2023, and said, “I am a proud Achimotan but if PRESEC wins the #NSMQ 2023 on the 31st I will walk barefoot backwards from Ayawaso West Wuogon to Presec School; they can’t win over Motown; Presec?; tweaaa”
After a breath-taking performance and the showmanship of knowledge in sciences by each school, the Presbytarian Boys’ Secondary School emerged winners. The philanthropist on the night of the flawless victory took to his social media page to congratulate the schools and notify social media users about his eagerness to fulfill his promise made a week earlier.
Many social media users gathered at the grounds to show support and appreciate him for the exhibition of integrity, while others watched a live feed of the walk from his page on X.
