Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd, a leading household name specialized in the production and distribution of sanitary wares, bathtubs, bathroom furniture and accessories has opened an ultramodern factory in Takoradi-Ghana.

The global sanitary ware producer, belongs to the China based Hwani Group and has a leading market knowledge and expertise carefully nurtured over an 18-year period of operations.

The factory, situated in the heart of the Takoradi industrial area, will go a long way to reduce the cost of sanitary wares in the country, offering unbeatable prices at a higher quality and creating jobs for the people of Takoradi.

Presently, over 90 percent of Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd staff are Ghanaians, evidence of their commitment of creating jobs and equipping staff with hands-on skills, setting them on the path of entrepreneurship.

Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd chose Ghana because the nation is filled with opportunities, with the company seeking to ride on these opportunities and further create greater opportunities for the Ghanaian populace, and by extension the African continent.

The highlight of the unveiling was the ribbon cutting ceremony which not only marked the official operation of Hwani Group’s Ghana Jintao Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., but also symbolized the company’s bright future.

Ophelia Zhang, Marketing Director, Ghana Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd. speaking to the press during a tour of the factory disclosed that the company has a maximum capacity of producing a million products annually.

“Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd. produces hand wash basins, WCs and cabinets. We have operated in Ghana for over two (2) years. Presently our staff is made up of 90 percent local people and 10 percent foreigners.”

Ophelia revealed that thirty percent (30%) of Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd products will be sold on the Ghanaian market, with seventy (70%) exported for sale. This goes to prove the company’s desire to make Ghana one of its production hubs.

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Essikado-Ketan constituency, Charles Bissue, who was present at the unveiling applauded Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd for bringing jobs to the constituency. He explained that setting up of the free zones enclave, where Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd is situated forms part of the vision of President Akufo-Addo to industrialize Ghana and encourage foreign investments. To him, this is just the beginning of an era where Ghana grows to become an industrial beacon of Africa.

“First of all, the factory (Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd) has brought employment here. Secondly, they will make sure to pay their taxes for the betterment of the economy. For me it is a good thing that this gov’t is doing (establishing the free zones enclave in Takoradi). Back then there were some things we had to import but because this is a free zones enclave, they are the ones rather producing to export. So, this means our foreign exchange earnings will rise and stretch our balance of trade in the future. So, these are the things that help the nation,” he added.

The launch was graced by Chairman Zhang, shareholders, Mr. Huang Caiming, Mr. Chen Jianhui, Mr. Lin Liangyue, General Manager Luo, Hon. Charles, and other dignitaries in Takoradi

Jintao Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd envisions itself as building additional six (6) factories in Africa in the next two years as parts of efforts to leave its footprints in Africa.
